Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is hosting an open house to provide community members an opportunity to:
Learn about the Region’s Property Tax Supported Business Plans and Budgets, including the process for reviewing the 2019 budget.
Gain an increased understanding of Regional programs and services.
Give input on priorities for the 2019 and future budgets.
When: Wednesday, February 13, 2019 starting at 7 p.m. (presentation at 7:10 p.m.).
Where: Durham Regional Headquarters, 605 Rossland Road East, Whitby, Room LL-C. A live broadcast of the open house will also be available online at durham.ca/Budget and on The Regional Municipality of Durham's Facebook page. A recorded broadcast of the open house will be available online on Thursday, February 14, 2019.
Note: The proposed 2019 Regional Property Tax Supported Business Plans and Budgets will be available online at durham.ca/Budget on Friday, March 15, 2019. The proposed 2019 Regional Property Tax Supported Business Plans and Budgets will be presented for consideration to the Finance and Administration Committee on Tuesday, March 19 and Wednesday, March 20, 2019 (if required) and Durham Regional Council on Wednesday, March 27, 2019. Those who would like to provide feedback on the proposed budgets at the meetings can make a written request, by noon on the Wednesday prior to the meetings, to ensure their delegation is added to the agenda.
