You're invited to attend Durham Region's International Women's Day celebration!
This exciting virtual event is hosted by the Region’s International Women’s Day Committee and will celebrate the achievements of women and the contributions they continue to make in Durham Region. It aims to raise awareness against bias and empowers us to take action to create a gender equal world. Collectively we can all #BreakTheBias.
The event will feature keynote speaker, Chief Kelly LaRocca of the Mississaugas of Scugog Island First Nation and includes performances from women in Durham.
The International Women’s Day Committee is a partnership between the Region of Durham; Mississaugas of Scugog Island First Nation, Canadian Council of Muslim Women, Durham Chapter; Congress of Black Women, Oshawa/Whitby Chapter; Hispanic Canadian Alliance of Durham; Womxn of Colour Durham Collective; Women’s Multicultural Resource and Counselling Centre of Durham and YWCA Durham.
