Celebrate Pride with Youth Pride Durham!
Youth Pride Durham is a safe, inclusive celebration for youth, children and families who are part of the 2SLGBTQI+ community, as well as their allies.
Hosted by Durham Children's Aid Society, Durham Children's Aid Foundation, The Regional Municipality of Durham, Durham Regional Police Service, and the Durham District School Board, in association with Durham Pride and PFLAG Durham, this free event champions acceptance through an afternoon of performances, music, dancing and other fun activities.
It also provides a forum for community organizations and agencies to gather in the Resource Village, to share information about the programs and supports they offer for 2SLGBTQI+ children and youth.
Event Details
When: Saturday, June 4, from 1 to 3 p.m.
Location: Region of Durham Headquarters, 605 Rossland Road East, Whitby
Event Program
1 p.m. Opening show extravaganza featuring Baby Bel Bel, Wilma Checklear and Devine Darlin.
1:30 p.m. Musical guests, explore the Resource Village and other fun activities including face painting, cotton candy and popcorn.
2:30 p.m. Youth Pride dance party with DJ Sumation.
Giveaways! Youth pride goers will also have a chance to win a one-month Durham Region Transit pass, laptop or acoustic guitar and amp!
