Short Film - 'Heap' by Kyle Marchen and Van Wickiam (DRIFF Incubator winners) ‘Heap,’ is a dark comedy about a disturbed and disillusioned tenant who discovers a strange Utopian community in the building next door and the tangled web she weaves to get what she wants. It explores issues of social hierarchy, the lack of affordable housing, and mental health.
Feature Presentation - 'Sleeping Giant' by Andrew Cividino (89 minutes): Adam is spending his summer vacation with his parents on rugged Lake Superior. His dull routine is shattered when he befriends Riley and Nate, smart aleck cousins who pass their ample free time with debauchery and reckless cliff jumping.
