OSHAWA MUSIC WEEK is a week-long series of events that will take place APRIL 3 - 8, 2023. It features entertainment for music lovers and music-industry education for aspiring and established music-business professionals. Presented by students of the Music Business program, Durham College, this initiative is in its 23rd year, and strives to develop, support, and unite the music community. OMW reflects the diverse voices of Oshawa’s cultural landscape.
OMW 23 events will be presented in-person. Some portions may be Live streamed. We plan to showcase musical talent from Oshawa, Durham Region and beyond. Bands, recording artists, and DJs will perform. Local and international music practitioners will discuss timely and important music-industry topics. Emerging talent will participate in songwriting competitions and raise funds for music initiatives.
