Before Ella, Tina, Billie, or Beyoncé – there was JOSEPHINE!
The St. Francis Centre is honoured to present this one-woman biographical musical that combines cabaret, theatre, and dance to tell the story of the iconic Josephine Baker; the first African-American international superstar and one of the most remarkable figures of the 20th Century. Tymisha Harris stars in this dazzling retelling of Josephine Baker’s revolutionary life as a singer, movie star, WWII spy, civil rights activist and cultural icon. Winning multiple international awards across several continents and coming off of a successful off-Broadway run, this burlesque cabaret dream play is not to be missed!
