Be sure to visit this annual event, celebrating 30 years of Gingerbread at the Kent Farndale Gallery in the Scugog Memorial Public Library in beautiful downtown Port Perry. Members of the community are invited to bring in their gingerbread creations to the library from Dec 1-4. Last year we had 115 entries. It is free to enter, but we ask that the creations be made from gingerbread, no battery attachments (we can't guarantee that they will be turned on daily) and please keep the size relative to the base. Then, the volunteer group, "The Village People", get to work to create a magical village featuring a moving train, miniature skating rinks, snowboarding hill and ferris wheel. The event is FREE and opens on Saturday, December 6th 2025 and goes until Sunday, January 4th 2026 Many thanks to our generous sponsors: Mississaugas of Scugog Island First Nation, The Township of Scugog and Scugog Memorial Public Library for hosting this very popular event.
