Discover ways to diversify your farm: enjoy a guided tour, business tips, and learn how OFDU policies can help you grow.
The Durham Region Federation of Agriculture (DRFA) and Invest Durham have partnered to present this informative workshop designed to help farmers in Durham Region explore new opportunities through On-Farm Diversified Uses (OFDU). This session will provide an overview of new OFDU policies, including what’s permitted and how to navigate the process of getting started.
Participants will enjoy a guided tour of Forsythe Family Farms, along with a presentation from the Business Advisory Centre Durham (BACD) offering practical insights on business planning to support your ideas. A farmer panel discussion will also be featured, giving you the chance to hear directly about experiences with diversification.
Invest Durham as well as Township Planning staff will be on hand to explain the policy framework, answer your questions, and provide information to help you take the next step in diversifying your farm.
