It reveals rhythms born of repetition.

Join the festivities as the City of Oshawa presents an amazing day of fun and entertainment in celebration of Canada's 151st birthday. Join us Sunday, July 1, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at Lakeview Park.
The celebration begins at 2:00 p.m. with live entertainment and activities for all ages. A grand finale fireworks display will begin at dusk (approximately 10:00 p.m.) off the shore of Lake Ontario.

A free seven week prenatal series for expectant parents aged 23 years and younger facilitated by public health nurses.
Participants share experiences and receive health education about pregnancy, labour, birth and early parenting including infant care and breastfeeding. Includes a hospital tour of Lakeridge Health Oshawa.

A travelling exhibit developed by the Canadian Museum of Nature, Monarchs features information, specimens, games, and interactives about this beautiful creature. Did you know that the City of Pickering has undertaken many initiatives to protect the Monarch butterfly and other pollinators? Find out what these initiatives are and how you can get involved!
12:00 PM| Parkwood National Historic Site
Bring your blanket and favourite Teddy, pick up your boxed lunch at the Gardener's Lodge Tearoom, and find your favourite spot on the grounds to enjoy your picnic!
Boxed picnic lunch includes finger sandwiches of peanut butter and jelly and ham and cheese, carrot sticks and dip, juice box and kit for decorating enclosed teddy bear cookie.
Pick up your picnic box at noon and make your own fun picnicing on the grounds.
Please note: parents are required to stay with their children; this is not a drop off program.
Anyone attending, including adults, must purchase the boxed lunch.
In the event of rain, the picnic will take place in the Gardener's Lodge Tearoom

A field of world-class drivers will race high-tech cars from prominent global marques such as Acura, Aston Martin, Audi, BMW, Cadillac, Corvette, Ferrari, Ford, Lamborghini, Lexus, Mazda, Mercedes, Nissan and Porsche. Also in action over our four-day event are the Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge and IMSA Prototype Challenge Series.
The IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship is focused on giving the fans an unforgettable experience, and Canadian Tire Motorsport Park is proud to provide such fun, interactive activities as the popular “Open Grid Walk,” driver autograph sessions, and open team paddocks. For the Open Grid Walk on Sunday morning, spectators are allowed to gather in pit lane, along with all the cars, drivers and crews.
