The Municipality of Clarington will be hosting its first-ever Black Vendor Village in honour of Black History Month.
It will be taking place on Saturday, February 24, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Garnet B. Rickard Recreation Complex, 2440 Highway 2, Bowmanville.
Everyone is welcome! Join us for music and performances; meet members of Clarington’s Diversity Advisory and Anti-Black Racism Committees; and take part in activities hosted by the Clarington Library, Museum and Archives. The Vendor Village will be open throughout the day, with local Black-owned businesses selling various products.

We’re looking for Clarington- and Durham-based Black-owned businesses to participate in the event at no charge.
Share your brand and your story! Participate in our Black History Month celebration of Black-owned businesses in Clarington.
Note: At this time, we are unable to accept applications from food vendors.

This six-week class is filled with art making that inspires creativity and imagination! Each week will be a new adventure with sculptures, paintings, drawings, printmaking, and more using artist quality materials!
Ages 5 to 8 from 10:30 a.m. to noon | Ages 9 to 12 from 1 to 2:30 p.m.
