The Canadian Automotive Museum is hosting special family activities during March Break 2023. Guests can make a fun plush car sewing craft (ages 6+) and kids can win a prize by completing a scavenger hunt (ages 3+) in the galleries. The museum is open daily from March 10 to 19, 2023 and children five and under are admitted free!
Visitors can take their picture with Lightning McQueen, the star of Disney/Pixar’s Cars 3 and a Herbie the Love Bug go-kart. New on display in the lobby is a bold red 1991 Honda Civic, built in Alliston, Ontario and a special exhibition titled Wires to Wheels: Electric Vehicles of Canada and Beyond is on display on the second floor.

In honour of World Storytelling Day and the theme of ‘Together We Can,’ the Oshawa Museum is proud to welcome the Durham Storytellers who will join us for an afternoon telling stories of immigration, refugees, and experiences with school days. On March 19, the Durham Storytellers will share their family’s immigration experiences, of leaving their homeland to find a better way of life, refugees fleeing to foreign lands seeking a safe haven, the positive, the negative, and how these experiences may have impacted their school life.
Tickets are $10/person; as the number of tour spots for each group time is limited, we urge you to purchase your tickets in advance to avoid disappointment.
Please be aware there are different start times for this event. Be careful when selecting your choice.
Each tour is approximately 1.5 hours in length.

Advancing Innovation, Diversity and Equity in Employment Career Fair
Through the Confronting Racism in Durham project, the Durham Region Unemployed Help Centre, with the support of community partners, is hosting the Advancing Innovation, Diversity and Equity Employment Career Fair. This fair will promote the hiring of talent from diverse groups, including Indigenous Peoples, racialized people and others deserving equitable and fair employment.
Career-seeking attendees will have the opportunity to network with employers from Durham Region, and the Greater Toronto Area, who support inclusive and equitable workplaces. Attendees can also participate in free workshops on topics, including workers’ rights and responsibilities and professional branding. Plus, the first 100 registered attendees will get a free headshot by a professional photographer.
Registration is optional but encouraged. Walk-ins are welcome.
