Tony Diteodoro, guitarist, songwriter, and producer of renowned Canadian blues band, MonkeyJunk will be playing live in the intimate confines of the Avalon Lounge at the Port Whitby Marina
Tony first picked up a guitar at the age of thirteen, teaching himself to play in the blues and rock styles of Muddy Waters, Albert King, Jimi Hendrix and Jimmy Page. By the age of nineteen, his playing had progressed to the point that he had the incredible opportunity, for three glorious days, to play rhythm guitar with Rock & Roll Hall of Famer, Buddy Guy. He has also had the incomparable experience of opening the show for the one and only, Stevie Ray Vaughan.
Since 2008, Tony D has been a member of MonkeyJunk, two-time Juno Award-winners for Blues Album of the Year, and winners of no less than 20 Maples Blues Awards. He has been leading the Tony D Band since 1987, and for six years, played in the band of legendary bluesman, Dutch Mason. He has appeared onstage and on albums with other Canadian blues players such as David Gogo, Suzie Vinnick and Paul Reddick. Tony's musical interests are far and wide, and he has been known to include Flamenco and Spanish Rhythm influences into his playing with the Tony D Band.
As always at Music by the Bay Live shows, there will be a chance to meet Tony after the show, creating the complete musical experience, in which you can listen to the music that you love, and then meet the people who create it.

Mimi O’Bonsawin will be performing at 8:45PM. She is a contemporary roots singer-songwriter from Northeastern Ontario. Through her rhythm and story-driven songs, Mimi embraces the beauty of the land, all the while yielding to her Franco-Ontarian and Abenaki roots. In her music you will find sounds from the forest, uplifting melodies and introspective lyrics weaved with pop sensitivities and acoustic instruments. The layers of percussion and surprising harmonies make you feel the music rather than just hear it. Mimi will be performing from her new album: Willow.
