It’s been a long time since Kathryn De Lancie has set foot in Port Perry. Her decades spent in Hollywood have been a whirlwind of leading roles and rave reviews; but even with all the fame and adoration, try as she may, Kathryn has never been able to fully forget her rural roots.
Now here she is, on location, in Port Perry, and the town is vibrating with excitement. Everywhere you go, the only thing being talked about is how Hollywood has come to town with lights and cameras and the hometown girl who followed her dreams. Will local folk catch a glimpse of the town’s prodigal daughter, or will Kathryn manage to hide from her past, the same way she has for years?
This brand new comedy from Port Perry’s own playwright, Graeme Powell, is a fresh look at what makes small towns such fantastic places to live. Mixing huge laughs with local history, familiar names, and instantly recognizable characters, Palmer Park reminds us that there is a feeling in our hearts which we all have in common... home.
