For over 34 years, the Pet Valu Walk for Dog Guides has been a vital national fundraiser in support of Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides. Taking place in approximately 300 communities across Canada, the Pet Valu Walk for Dog Guides raises funds to help train Dog Guides for Canadians with visual, hearing, medical or physical disabilities. To date, the Walk has raised more than $18 million and placed more than 3,000 Dog Guides with Canadians with a medical or physical disability, all at no cost. This is the third year we have a walk Port Perry Pet Valu Walk for Dog Guides on the National Walk Day, the last Sunday in May, Sunday May 31. There is no registration fee and 100% of the funds you raise will go towards the cause. The Port Perry Pet Valu walk starts in Palmer Park, walks along the beautiful Port Perry and boardwalk, into downtown and ends at the Old Flame Brewery with a free lunch, gelato, prizes and an after party. Last year over 200 people attend !
